The first Scenic Painters Course was launched in 2009. For the first few years we offered one, two week course each summer. In 2014 we started a program of weekend courses which run throughout the year and have now been expanded to cover six subject areas. From 2017 we will relaunch the two week course in the summer, and in 2018 a five week intensive course covering all aspects of scenic painting and scenic art.
The modular approach to our courses means that students can decide to study at weekends over a longer period of time, maybe taking a week off work to add a cloth painting workshop, or to invest in an intensive five week period of study.
The two week course gives students the chance to gain an introduction to scenic painting. This can be augmented by taking further weekend courses and cloth weeks if required.
